| For a lot of guys earmuffs are an overlooked part of protective winter gear. However, it need to be noted that there are indeed several rewards to maintaining one's ears warm in very frigid temperatures, not least of which becoming the avoidance of frostbite. While the cartilage that comprises the ear is really hardy, it need to be noted that the skin atop this base is quite thin, and the blood vessels and capillaries are quite near to the surface.
